You'll get there you are doing great!! We are both only 7 pounds from our goal. Well I am actually 7.4 pounds away. It is getting a lot harder to lose.
I'm rather short, so that is why I have set my target lower. I am only 5 1".
Funny thing....they posted a BMI chart in our breakroom. See ....my 127.4 is my naked weight. Weight with clothes on this morning was 129. I was 130.5 last week with my clothes on. For my height it says 100-129 is healthy. To me 100 would be way to skinny. I was 107 when I got married at 18, and I was skinny then. Anyway for the funny thing...everyone was talking about were they fell on the chart. I told them I would be healthy if I could come to work naked, but if I had to come with my clothes on I was over weight. And of course, clothing is required. (I am not in the other line of work....ha ha) So, this morning I was so excited and told them I could come to work with my clothes on and be healthy now. LOL

Thanks for the comment April!! You are still doing great!! You have been an inspiration. Don't get discouraged hanging out at the same weight, that means your maintaining and not gaining. Maintaining can be just as hard as losing!! Your getting so close to your goal....you can do it!!!!

I noticed you mentioned that you do Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs. I love Turbo Jam and was thinking about buying Hip Hop Abs, but I can't decide if I should. Although Hip Hop Abs looks like fun, it also looks like it requires a lot more coordination than Turbo Jam does, and I'm not the most coordinated person in the world. LOL Could you drop me a note and give me your honest opinion about Hip Hop Abs? I'd greatly appreciate it!

I can't believe it! I am going to head into the year 2008 at 138 pounds! YAHOO!!! I haven't been this weight in several years and it feels great!
I only want to lose 8-10 more pounds so I am mainly sticking with this for maintenance purposes, anyone who has lost a large amount of weight knows how hard it is to maintain it!
You need the support of others who are going through the same challenges you are!

Post 3: The contest is split between the guys and the girls and is based on percentage of weight loss compare to your individual body weight. The team that is there is so full of encouragement and suggestions for plateaus for everyone! It is a great support group, I would say even better than when I was in Weight Watchers, weighing in in FRONT of people.
Here we save ourselves some humiliation and don't have to actually face each other BUT, really everyone is so supportive and understanding of losses and gains, it is amazing! They are all going through it too so they understand how terrible a gain feels and how ecstatic we are when we show a loss!

Post 2: We would love to see more people join the fun! It will be a blast! We weigh in every week between Tuesday and Thursday and then you get the results and recognition each week for who lost the most.
And also, the men and women have a little side competition as to which team as a whole is losing the most. I will be keeping the stats this challenge.

Howdy everyone! I am going up and down between 138 and 140 and then 138 and then 140, ugh! I hate this part! lol
Oh well, I will survive! I gave away ALL of my fat clothes so that I couldn't grow back into them! And I can't afford to buy ANOTHER new wardrobe so I should be set! Lol
We are just getting ready to start our 6 month weight loss challenge, otherwise known as "We're Bringing Sexy Back" on the Biggest Loser's Forum here on Traineo! It runs from January 1 through July 1.
If you haven't checked out the forums I would highly reccommend it! The posts are quick and easy to find, I think WW's are really slow and hard to manuever, there are great people and support there too but I just can't get them to work very well when I try. (Could be operator error of course! Anyone who saw my latest results posting in the forum is sure to understand what I mean!)

YAHOO!!! 138 138 138! Only 8 pounds to go! I am hoping to be there by my birthday on 01/19/07, I will be 33 years young! Yeah!
I can't even express how much better I feel about myself! I want to go out more and I want to have my picture taken again! Before I would NEVER let my picture get taken, now I am making a point to have it done!

Nope I didn't join it yet, I might when I finish finals and finally have some time to actually get on here! I finally got to 152, I've got to get my butt into the 140's for a little bit of incouragement. It always seems harder when you get closer to a different tens number... does that make sense? Well I am back from vacation and I didn't gain any weight! I didn't lose it either but with all of the food that was thrown at us I am thrilled to have just maintained! We had food galore! Good ol down home southern cooking too!

great! thanks for asking! I hope things will start moving a little faster soon though, last few weeks it's been just a pound at a time. I like it better when I get on the scale and there is a 2 or 3 or 4 pound difference from the week before. Guess that's not realistic! Anywho, love ya, keep it up! Almost there!

Wow....April you have done great!! Yesterday was the frist day I seen messages from anyone. My cousin Angie signed me up and set me up. I was calling her and giving her my weight for a while. Yesterday was the first day I actually went into my profile.
I am 34 I have an eight year old and a twelve year old. I have been married for 16 years. I was at my heaviest weight about a year and half ago, which was 159. I was pregnant with twins. I miscarried one, and the other was in my tubes. However, I kept the weight. I lost 32.5 pounds, then got a new position and worked late everynight. So my family has lived off of fast food for the past year and a half. I gained my weight back, and am trying once again to get it off. I tease my husband and tell him I am just trying to keep things interesting, giving him a variety. He gets to have a small, medium, and large wife. What more could he ask for....right? ha ha
I see we have been at the same weight for several weeks. I know you can get back with me next week!! You have done amazing. Keep up the great work!!!! You are getting so close to your goal.

what you said was pretty motivating. yeah, I'm doing ok. Just stressed. And sometimes I think the 2 pounds I lost within the week and a half was from me peeing so much from drinking too much diuretics, coffee and the like. you have no idea how tempting starbucks are for me at this time. I need to sleep properly. so what works for you for time management?

My little ones are 3-1/2 and almost 2, but I don't have double stroller, only a single. Unfortunately, they'll only stay together in that for so long, LOL. I might try to save up (I have a job that we sort of use for extra money and my small car payment) for a double jogger stroller, as I think that would be great! My Graco wouldn't jog and it's a good stroller but walking just doesn't do it for me anymore - I want to SWEAT, lol. Ya know?
I can imagine, about having your youngest be 11 - crazy! :-P For me, I can't believe my baby boy is going to be 2 in February! *faint* The kid hardly talks, and both of mine are so tiny that they seem a lot younger. I feel like Duncan should be turning 1, not *2*! Ahh... such a big boy. :-)

Okay, I haven't posted anything in awhile so here I go!
I am down 45 pounds and absolutely loving my new body! I haven't seen this thing since 2003!! I started on May 4th of this year and now 5.5 months later I am just moving right along!
I have 7 more pounds to go and I will be happy there, if it continues to come off so easily though I will definitely go for another 5 and then of course, continue to come to traineo and maintain that weight loss!
I want to be a healthy person for the rest of my life!
To put it into perspective, my 10 year old daughter weighs a little over 50 pounds so when I am done and to my goal I will have lost the weight of a 10 year old kid! I don't know how I walked around. I couldn't possibly carry her around with me everyday and who knows what damage I was doing to my heart by trying!

yo April! Thanks for the add. Yes, I know it should be a lifestyle change. I'm actually trying to shock myself into a regime. I feel almost like I've been without discipline for a while. I was used to coaches blowing whistles to run two blows for drop and do 5 pushups while doing it repeatedly on 100 yards of field and guess what... he'd never let up to NOT blow on the damn whistle. Til this day, I get flashbacks of soccer practices when I hear whistles. It's crazy! I kinda miss it. I feel like a spoiled brat just being all lazy... maybe sleep shouldn't be an excuse. I would stay up 3-4 in the morning studying or doing assignments and papers running a part time job and a full time schedule at school (plus lab) my freshman year, I gained a lot. Forget about freshman 10. But you know what about waking up in the morning? I read in this magazine about this clock that rolls off the bedside table and forces you to physically get out of bed to turn it off... It's available for purchase online for about 50 buckaroos. gg. -g

Hey April, I just joined the gym a couple days ago, doing 1 hr cardio every morning. the plan is to do it 6 times a week. I've somewhat been calorie counting and staying away from all junk food. I need some help figuring out how much to exercise and how to tone my arms and abs.

Yeah! Down another pound! I am down a total of 35 pounds after almost 4 months! Only 7 more to my mini goal of 145 and then 10 more to my ultimate goal of 135! I can't believe it! SOOOO CLOSEE!
I have worked out each day this week...need to do more tonight though because my morning one was just an ab workout and some walking...not too great but at least something! Right!
I hope to continue with the workouts and keep my weekends at a lower calorie intake, maybe then I can make more progress!
This weekend will be a little slow so that will be nice! I have had 2 bridal showers, 2 bachelorette parties, and a wedding in the last week! I am having a premier jewelry party next weekend and I need to get ready for that!

I went canoeing down the NRO (Niangua River Oasis) in Missouri this weekend and slept on the ground! We had the most fun! There were about 10 of us and it was a blast! I wish we were closer so that we can do it more often! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Down 2 more pounds and hoping to work more off tomorrow shopping for school supplies and clothes for the youngin's!!

Did it again today! Yeah!! I took some May 4th pictures back when I started and then again today and WOWIE!! Major difference!
But even though I have lost 30 pounds I am still not looking like I did 2 years ago after working out for that 6 weeks straight! That was some good motivation to look at those pics from then and now when I weigh the same. Still a big difference! I am keeping all of those photos close at hand in case I don't want to get up one morning to work out! =0)

I had a crazy busy weekend and normally don't workout on the weekends anyway! So I am still at 157 since 7/19/07, down 30 pounds, no big deal though! I would rather stay the same than gain!!

Well, here it goes, I am getting ready to work out! First time in awhile! lol I am back on my slim in 6 and am hoping that I can maintain it! It took me almost a month to break my plateau and now that I pretty much have I just need to kick start my body get moving. School will be done by next Thursday so it should be easier to get up in the mornings and work out since I won't have to be at work until 8 instead of 7, that extra hour is a kick in the pants! lol
Anyone else out there up working out??? I need some company guys!! I am down a total of 27 pounds since May 4th and I don't want it to stop! HELP ME!!!

Things are going well! I continue to lose without working out but I need to so that I can tone this flabby stuff I have now! lol I was going to start this morning but I want to take pictures first and my daughter took my camera with her to her dad's house.
I know one day probably won't matter but oh well. The pictures help me to stay motivated since you typically gain a little weight on the scale when you work out due to muscle weighing more than fat.
Well wish me luck that I start after work today! I only have two more weeks of school though so that will make it easier to do it in the mornings, right now I have to be at work at 7 so in order to exercise I would have to be up by 4:30 to have time. And I am working until 5:30 or 6 every night and then tanning on my way home and then dinner and then homework and then working out...a full night! lol

YEAH!! 4 pounds down and loving it! 167 Only 10 more to go to my mini goal! Sorry I have been so out of it lately, work has been busy, ugh, and school started again so ugh ugh!
I did have a mishap over the weekend though, well more my son than me..ugh! he rolled his car 4 times and broke a lot and got 150 stitches and staples in his face and head.

Another pound down and I am on day two of Slim in 6, I have the motivation I think this time to stay on it and really finish it! The last time I started slim in 6, I did the workout I have lost 16 pounds! Yeah! My profile doesn't reflect it though because I entered my starting weight wrong. Does anyone know how to change it?
Good job to everyone!! As I said, I finally started working out yesterday. It sometimes scares me to start working out though because there is always that chance that you will gain since muscle weighs more than the fat and any increase on the scale or plateau is never fun as I am sure all of you know...even if it is merited.
I just need to keep thinking positively and remember that I will be losing inches even though I may not be losing pounds. The last time that I did it I took pictures of my workout progress once a week and if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have kept working out because my scale hardly moved but I noticed a huge different in the shape of my body and it made me keep working out every day!

Hello Everyone! I have't been able to post all week because I have been so busy...I am still maintaining 172 and haven't started working out again...I only did it for like two or three days. Life just got too busy. We had something going on every night this week. School starts next week, that won't be fun...2 days a week for 2 months! Ugh!!
Anyway, I went back to the doctor and he says that my cholesterol is great! only 134 and all of my other stuff is great too so I guess I just need to get some exercise in. 15 pounds in 1 month! Yeah!! From 187 to 172! He gave me a stronger diet pill...they are helping sooo much. I can actually push away from the table when I am full. I amguessing that I have just hit the normal plateau and am not worried that I haven't lost anything in a couple of weeks. I have not been hungry and have even surpassed cookies and pie at the two baby showers that we have had at work recently. I stuck with some turkey, some veggies and a little bit of pasta salad. Yeah!!

Hello everyone! Doing great here, had a great weekend with NO Overeating! I am so proud of myself. Still sitting at 173 but at least I am not gaining! I am on to my next goal! 8 pounds in two weeks...probably a bit much but I am going to aim for it.

How was everone's weekends? Good eating habits are in full force right?!? Yeah right huh! It was mother's day! Truthfully, I didn't do too badly compared to most of my weekends, I drank very little both Friday and Saturday nights! I had one margarita with my Mother's Day dinner. My hubby took me and my ladies to dinner. My sons had to work or had other plans but we still had fun! The boys are at that age where I hardly see them anymore! lol
The girls I typically don't see on the weekends either but I made one come home early and the other one got hurt at her sleepover Sat night so she came home too! Lol
Anyway, I went to Carlos O Kellys for dinner last night and had the Spinach Mushroom enchilada with Chicken, didn't eat my rice or beans and only ate one of the enchiladas, had some chips and dip and that was it. Had my other enchilada for breakfast this morning and having a salad and a healthy choice meal for lunch...total calories for the day so far is 781 but my lunch isn't going down so well...it is kind of yucky so I may opt for an apple instead of finishing that! lol
Dinner will be a pork chop and baked potato and so my total dialy calories should be around 1100, which is good!
Well there is my weekend and Monday for you all who are ready to read a novel! lol

I am down to 177 if I am butt naked but I figured that I want to go with what the doctor says and only track my weight on Fridays when I go in to see him. So I went yesterday and with all of my clothes and shoes on I am 182, Heavy clothes huh! But I weighed my shoes that I wear pretty much daily and they are 3 pounds all by themselves!! lol So anyway, I haven't really gained but I am just being wishy washy on how I want to track my progress obviously huh! lol

That was even after my kids...I didn't even have to watch what I ate back then! I miss that! So far WW is going well! After I quit body makeover I had gone back up to 184 and then even surpassed it by getting to 187 but after just a week on WW I am back down to 177! Yeah!!

We decided no red meat except maybe once a year. OB was going to be our last steak but it was new years eve and a 2 hr wait. I don't think so, so we went to a texas steakhouse place and it was great. Hubby has had problems forgetting pepporoni is beef and made two oops and felt it. Once you stop, it changes your body and you feel icky when you do eat it. Strange but that should tell you something. Have a great one.

I started WW on the 23 of April...two weeks before that I started working out with a buddy. To date I have lost 12 pounds~whoopie! I am in Houston TX and work for an Airline.

I just finished and feel sooo much better, I also just pulled out my before pictures from this past May and I almost cried! It doesn't even look like me, or at least what I think I look like! They are terrible! I can't believe it! Thanks once again to the support here!
I can't even express how much better I feel about myself! I want to go out more and I want to have my picture taken again! Before I would NEVER let my picture get taken, now I am making a point to have it done!

I am 34 I have an eight year old and a twelve year old. I have been married for 16 years. I was at my heaviest weight about a year and half ago, which was 159. I was pregnant with twins. I miscarried one, and the other was in my tubes. However, I kept the weight. I lost 32.5 pounds, then got a new position and worked late everynight. So my family has lived off of fast food for the past year and a half. I gained my weight back, and am trying once again to get it off. I tease my husband and tell him I am just trying to keep things interesting, giving him a variety. He gets to have a small, medium, and large wife. What more could he ask for....right? ha ha
I see we have been at the same weight for several weeks. I know you can get back with me next week!! You have done amazing. Keep up the great work!!!! You are getting so close to your goal.
I can imagine, about having your youngest be 11 - crazy! :-P For me, I can't believe my baby boy is going to be 2 in February! *faint* The kid hardly talks, and both of mine are so tiny that they seem a lot younger. I feel like Duncan should be turning 1, not *2*! Ahh... such a big boy. :-)
I am down 45 pounds and absolutely loving my new body! I haven't seen this thing since 2003!! I started on May 4th of this year and now 5.5 months later I am just moving right along!
I have 7 more pounds to go and I will be happy there, if it continues to come off so easily though I will definitely go for another 5 and then of course, continue to come to traineo and maintain that weight loss!
I want to be a healthy person for the rest of my life!
To put it into perspective, my 10 year old daughter weighs a little over 50 pounds so when I am done and to my goal I will have lost the weight of a 10 year old kid! I don't know how I walked around. I couldn't possibly carry her around with me everyday and who knows what damage I was doing to my heart by trying!

Thanks for the add. Yes, I know it should be a lifestyle change. I'm actually trying to shock myself into a regime. I feel almost like I've been without discipline for a while. I was used to coaches blowing whistles to run two blows for drop and do 5 pushups while doing it repeatedly on 100 yards of field and guess what... he'd never let up to NOT blow on the damn whistle. Til this day, I get flashbacks of soccer practices when I hear whistles. It's crazy! I kinda miss it. I feel like a spoiled brat just being all lazy... maybe sleep shouldn't be an excuse. I would stay up 3-4 in the morning studying or doing assignments and papers running a part time job and a full time schedule at school (plus lab) my freshman year, I gained a lot. Forget about freshman 10. But you know what about waking up in the morning? I read in this magazine about this clock that rolls off the bedside table and forces you to physically get out of bed to turn it off... It's available for purchase online for about 50 buckaroos. gg. -g
I just joined the gym a couple days ago, doing 1 hr cardio every morning. the plan is to do it 6 times a week. I've somewhat been calorie counting and staying away from all junk food.
I need some help figuring out how much to exercise and how to tone my arms and abs.
YAHOO!! I went ahead and changed my goal down to my ultimate goal of 135! Only 14 Pounds! I can't believe it is so close!!

I have worked out each day this week...need to do more tonight though because my morning one was just an ab workout and some walking...not too great but at least something! Right!
I hope to continue with the workouts and keep my weekends at a lower calorie intake, maybe then I can make more progress!
This weekend will be a little slow so that will be nice! I have had 2 bridal showers, 2 bachelorette parties, and a wedding in the last week! I am having a premier jewelry party next weekend and I need to get ready for that!

But even though I have lost 30 pounds I am still not looking like I did 2 years ago after working out for that 6 weeks straight! That was some good motivation to look at those pics from then and now when I weigh the same. Still a big difference! I am keeping all of those photos close at hand in case I don't want to get up one morning to work out! =0)
I had a crazy busy weekend and normally don't workout on the weekends anyway! So I am still at 157 since 7/19/07, down 30 pounds, no big deal though! I would rather stay the same than gain!!
Started my workout this morning and even though I didn't work out this weekend I am sore from cleaning out my storage room!

Anyone else out there up working out??? I need some company guys!! I am down a total of 27 pounds since May 4th and I don't want it to stop! HELP ME!!!
I know one day probably won't matter but oh well. The pictures help me to stay motivated since you typically gain a little weight on the scale when you work out due to muscle weighing more than fat.
Well wish me luck that I start after work today! I only have two more weeks of school though so that will make it easier to do it in the mornings, right now I have to be at work at 7 so in order to exercise I would have to be up by 4:30 to have time. And I am working until 5:30 or 6 every night and then tanning on my way home and then dinner and then homework and then working out...a full night! lol
Anyway, can't wait to hear from everyone! Hope you all are doing well!
I did have a mishap over the weekend though, well more my son than me..ugh! he rolled his car 4 times and broke a lot and got 150 stitches and staples in his face and head.

Good job to everyone!! As I said, I finally started working out yesterday. It sometimes scares me to start working out though because there is always that chance that you will gain since muscle weighs more than the fat and any increase on the scale or plateau is never fun as I am sure all of you know...even if it is merited.
I just need to keep thinking positively and remember that I will be losing inches even though I may not be losing pounds. The last time that I did it I took pictures of my workout progress once a week and if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have kept working out because my scale hardly moved but I noticed a huge different in the shape of my body and it made me keep working out every day!
Anyway, I went back to the doctor and he says that my cholesterol is great! only 134 and all of my other stuff is great too so I guess I just need to get some exercise in. 15 pounds in 1 month! Yeah!! From 187 to 172! He gave me a stronger diet pill...they are helping sooo much. I can actually push away from the table when I am full. I amguessing that I have just hit the normal plateau and am not worried that I haven't lost anything in a couple of weeks. I have not been hungry and have even surpassed cookies and pie at the two baby showers that we have had at work recently. I stuck with some turkey, some veggies and a little bit of pasta salad. Yeah!!

The girls I typically don't see on the weekends either but I made one come home early and the other one got hurt at her sleepover Sat night so she came home too! Lol
Anyway, I went to Carlos O Kellys for dinner last night and had the Spinach Mushroom enchilada with Chicken, didn't eat my rice or beans and only ate one of the enchiladas, had some chips and dip and that was it. Had my other enchilada for breakfast this morning and having a salad and a healthy choice meal for lunch...total calories for the day so far is 781 but my lunch isn't going down so well...it is kind of yucky so I may opt for an apple instead of finishing that! lol
Dinner will be a pork chop and baked potato and so my total dialy calories should be around 1100, which is good!
Well there is my weekend and Monday for you all who are ready to read a novel! lol

I am going to change my goals to weekly goals instead of a 3 month goal! I think that smaller number will motivate more than 42 pounds! Ugh!
I finally got on the workout wagon, I did Turbo Jam last night and this morning and feel sooo much better!! Has anyone else tried Turbo Jam?
I don't think I've got a pick of mine pre-kids. I shouldn't blame anything on them though! Unfortunately, my pregnancy weight left for about a year then Wham! went the gain.

We decided no red meat except maybe once a year. OB was going to be our last steak but it was new years eve and a 2 hr wait. I don't think so, so we went to a texas steakhouse place and it was great. Hubby has had problems forgetting pepporoni is beef and made two oops and felt it. Once you stop, it changes your body and you feel icky when you do eat it. Strange but that should tell you something. Have a great one.
Ya I can't do the chili dog thing. One, I stoped eating red meat Jan1, and I just don't think I can even fit it in. :(
